 Pepper Mille: Concatulations on winning the Black cat poll. I hope
mew will answer some questions. I know all da kitties would like to know more about mew. How does it feel to win?

Sassy: Wow! I am so excited and shocked. I didn't expect to win, and when I got your email ..... well I just couldn't believe it. I am so happy and thrilled that I am ALMOST speechless.

Pepper Mille: Wif all the hoomans thinking Black cats are scary do mew think being all black is unlucky? Are mew scared of anything?


Sassy:  I know first hand that black cats aren't scary, cauze I am a black cat and there sure isn't anything scary about me. I am a very lucky black kitty, but I am scared of thunder. When it starts to boom, I am under the bed in a flash.
 

PepperMille:  You and me both. I hate lightening da mose. How old are mew?

Sassy:  I just turned 4 in August. I was born on Friday the 13th and I was the only all black kitty in the litter. Unfortunately, my fur mom and all my siblings went to the bridge the same day I was born. So you can't say being black and born on Friday the 13th is bad luck for me.

PepperMille: Oh mew, you are a lucky kitty! Are mew an adopted kitty?

Sassy:  Well yes, you could say I am adopted. My fur mom was attacked by a big bad d*g, she had her babies early, then everyone went to the bridge that same day but me. I only weighed 3 ounces, and my forever Mom
took me home in a little shoe box. I was almost as small as the little bottle she fed me with. She had to do everything for me, but Mr. Vet said I was a tough little gurl, and I grew up to be the winner of your contest. How exciting is that!!!!

Pepper Mille: Do mew live wif offur kitties?

Sassy:  There are 4 of us that live here. We have Jessie the calico, she is the Editor of the Zine, Headmistress of Kittengarten, Dean of the Sports
College, etc. etc. She thinks she is the diva of the house, but she really isn't. Then there are the boyz. They are Turkish Van twins, 10 days older than I am. Left is the big guy, he is very laid back and handsome, except for his spooky eyes. One blue one gold, and then there is Right. He is just nuts. Right is in trouble most of the time, he is the one I play with the most.

Pepper Mille: Do mew haf a website? Do mew belong to any kitty clubs?

Sassy:  I used to have a website, but when the old computer crashed, we lost all the addresses and now can't remember where it is. Some day Mom will build me a new one. She started once, but the demands of CLAW
are so great on her time, she says I have to be patient. I belong to a few groups that I like quite well, and I write for the Zine and the Mewsletter. I
also enjoy the caption contest and the questions of the week and month. 

Pepper Mille: Do mew haf a favorite sleeping place?

Sassy:  My favorite sleeping place is where ever my Meowmie is. I try to never leave her side if I can help it. At night I cuddle with her, she calls it
"spoons". During the day I lay by her feet or on the computer desk, just to make sure I can be as close as I can get, but I am not a lap kitty like Jessie is.

Pepper Mille: Purrsonally I'm strictly a fish eater what are mewr favorite foods?

Sassy:  Oh Wow! that is easy. I love Kitty Kissers, my favorite treat!!!! And if I have to I will eat Cat Chow Indoor formula. But I don't like moist food at
all, except for cottage cheese. I love cottage cheese. Hummm I didn't think I was a picky eater, but maybe I am.  

Pepper Mille: Hmm, kitty kissers? I'll haf to get mom to get me some! Where do mew live? Do mew go outside or just haf a favorite window fer bird watching?

Sassy:  We live in southwest Florida, way down by the Gulf of Mexico. We are all indoor kitties because we live in a resort area and Mom says I am so cute someone will want to take me home with them, but we have our own screen porch to play in, it is full of our toys and beds and stuff. Mom has some bird feeders in the tree outside the window and we can watch the
birds, squirrels and bunnies all we want to. Some times Left gets so excited that he crashes into the window and makes a great noise, which scares the
birdies away, then we all chase Left away and start all over again.
 
Pepper Mille: Oh mew, I think we've covered everything unless  dere is anything else mew would like to tell everyone?

Sassy:  I just want to thank everyone that took the time to vote for me, and my Uncle Jeffie for taking the picture that we used, and to you Peppermille' for taking the time to have this fun contest.  

Pepper Mille: Well dis is just as much fun fer me to interview all mew kitties. When dis Gallery first started in 1999 it was just photos submitted by different kinds of kitties. In 2000 and 2001 the poll started and winning kitties photos were put on the Wall of Fame. Last year I decided to add the Gallery Gazette wif the interviews. I think that has made this all a fun poll fer everyone. At least, I hope so. Wall of Fame
