The B-52D number 55-0062 shown above was delivered to the Strategic Air Command in February 1957. It was assigned to Carswell Air Force Base, Texas, prior to arriving at K. I. Sawyer on September 15, 1983 for static display. This aircraft flew numerous missions over North Vietnam for 19 months flying out of Andersen Air Force Base , Guam. It flew a total of 14,984 hours over a period of 26 years. These pictures are from September 2000.

The McDonnell Douglas F-101B shown above was used for battle damage repair at the repair depot at Hill Air Force Base , Utah, prior to coming to K. I. Sawyer for static display. The 62nd Fighter Interceptor Squadron flew F-101B ''Voodoos'' out of K. I. Sawyer from 1959 until 1971 when they were replaced by Convair F-106A Delta Darts. This static display is located at the intersection of Voodoo Avenue and Avenue A. These pictures were taken in August of 2000. This aircraft has since been relocated next to the B52D and FB-111A static displays.

 

 

 

 

Lockheed T-33A number 51-4263 on static display at K. I. Sawyer Air Force Base. This display is located on Fifth Street just east of the intersection with Avenue A.

 

 

 

 

FB-111A number 68-0239 nicknamed ''Rough Night'' currently on static display at K. I. Sawyer. This aircraft was accepted by the Air Force on December 9, 1969. It was assigned to the 380th Bomb Wing at Pease AFB. On July 11, 1991 it was flown to K. I. Sawyer for static display. F-111's from Pease were on satellite alert at Sawyer during 1974 and 1975. This aircraft flew 6122 hours in 22 years of service. These photos are from September 2000.
