From Asia. This is just one species in this outstanding group. Good fish for beginners.

This is the original strain of the lineatus. Some might call this the red strain.

The Pelvic fins are the main focus of this picture, so ignore the blurred face. Notice the color in the anal fin and pelvic fins. The pelvic fins get from 1/3 to 1/2 the length of the fish!!
