Multimedia
With
the experimental vehicle Xm Multimedia, Citroën is consolidating its
position among the carmakers offering advanced multimedia technology.
The
originality of the Xm Multimedia, which is based on the Xm V6 Automatic
Exclusive, lies in the host of communication technologies installed on-board.
At
the front, the dashboard is fitted with Route Planner, the navigation aid
system from Magneti Marelli. Using vocal assistance and a display unit,
Route Planner takes the driver to his destination by the safest, quickest
route.
At
the back of the car, a monitor installed at the end of the central armrest
offers access to various sources of information and notably the Internet,
through an onboard PC. With this equipment (monitor with tactile screen,
infrared keyboard) the Xm Multimedia extends the scope of communication
tools from the office to the car. For people who work on the move, the
Xm Multimedia offers appreciable time savings. It can supply up-to-the-minute
information or - alternatively - provide in-car entertainment, since it
is equipped with a television in addition to its telephone and Internet
functions.
The
bodywork in d'Enfer Red is in perfect harmony with the interior trim of
Savane leather and Alcantara. The dashboard and central console are inlaid
with wood, while the steering wheel is leather covered. |
