Kevin came into Kiis FM studios to quickly talk with the DJ JoJo.

JoJo: Omigod, Ladies and Gentlemen, for a quick stop, lets give it up to the man, Kevin Richardson from the Backstreet Boys!

Kevin: Wassup, JoJo?!

J: Dude now I?ve talked with Howie quit a bit and A.J here and there, but I never really sat down and talked with you. So first things first, look at my hair. Do you think it?s too weird or are you cool with it?

K: I like it. Dare to be different.

J: How was the honey moon? How was all that?

K: We went on the honeymoon we went to Italy and I ate a lotta pasta and olives and I gained about 10 pounds, but I?m workin out. Some girl on the phone: JoJo lemmie ask Kevin a question!!

J: OK OK!!

Girl: OK since you?ve been married has anything changed?

K: I don?t feel any different. She?s my buddy and it?s all good and I?ve actually seen her less since we?ve been married probably. (laughs)

J: When you?re writing new material for your album and all that stuff do you ever run anything by your wife and get her thoughts on it and see what she liked?

K: Always through the years. I?ve been dating her now on and off for about eight years. I?ve always asked her opinion on things. I always ask my family and friends just bounce things. It?s good to have an outsiders point of view cuz you be listing to it 3 or 4 days in the studio over and over and at first you?re excited about it and after awhile you get numb to it. So it?s good to have an outsiders opinion.

J: So the new albums coming out. What does she think of it?

K: Um she?s only heard about three tracks because that?s all I?ve broughten. Broughten? Broughten! That?s a new word!

J: Lets get the dictionary out!

K: Cuz that?s all I BROUGHT with me home cuz we?ve been waiting for some of the mixes to come back. So uh, she likes what she?s heard so far.

J: What do you think about the new album, coming out?

K: Um...I?m happy with it. I?m excited about it. We wrote a song that we recorded with Baby Face. So I?m excited about that. We?ve done some uh some work with Rodney Jerkins...

J: Nice!

K: And of course we?ve done some work with Max. Over in Sweden. We feel we have a nice well rounded album.

J: Would it be safe to say that you stayed true to the Backstreet sound but kinda grew some as well?

K: I feel like it. yeah. I feel we?re continuling growing as writers and as singers.

J: Are you just as happy with this album as you were the last one cuz the last one was large dude! So can you kinda compare um? Well that?s kinda tough to say.

K: It?s tough to say. It?s been like a week since I?ve heard a lot of the stuff we did. Right now we?re waiting on some of the mixes to come back so we?ve got about 16 songs so we?re gunna sit down and pick the best songs we all like.

J: Whoa wow, I thought the album was already done! I guess you gotta go through the selection process. What about the tour?

K: Tour? We?re ah already starting to plan that. Planning on hitting the road end of February.

J: Now lemmie jump into this. A.J did his solo tour as Johnny No Name and Howie had that sort of Latin thing going on.

K: Yeah a lil Latin onsomble going on.

J: Any plans doing some like that yourself? Or is it just about the group right now?

K: I?ve just been like writing and planning on possibly doing some acting and doing a lil bit directing.

J: Dude no kidding? If you had a dream role what would it be?

K: I like um, in high school n stuff I did musical theater and I like characters, real characters.

J: Like a bad ass dude?

K: Yeah, I like comedy and you know play some one like this (Kevin talked with a gay voice it was very funny!!!:) (Laughs) I like totally doing characters. some thing that?s totally over in left field.

J: Something not normal.

K: Yeah. Somebody our fans wouldn?t think I?d be.

J: And finally bro how long have you been married? One or Two months?

K: Ah 2 months.

J: I?m just curious how you worked that out cuz you have screamin girls for you all around the world all the time and you can?t hide anywhere. How?d you guys stay together? Was it tough?

K: Like I said once we started touring in stuff we?ve broken up several times but she?s my friend. She?s a friend. She?s also a hot thing.

J: Yeah, not that I you know...

K: Yeah (laughs) So I feel like I?m very lucky. I?ve got a hot beautiful person, a hot, sexy wife. She?s hot, she?s beautiful, she?s sexy.

J: She?s A to Z.

K: And she?s also a good person inside. That?s what?s important cuz when we get older and the materialistic outside exterior starts to fall apart and crumble she still has that beautiful heart.

J: So basically you?re saying when you get old and ugly you guys still will have something special in the inside.

K: I HOPE SO! (He said it in an old man voice it was funny.)

J: There he is you guys. The man Kevin from the Backstret Boys! (Clapping)

K: We?ll see you guys when we swing by for promotion.

J: Lemmie stick on "Missing You" I?ll put that on right now.

K: Alright!

They played the song and Kevin left.
