: Hey, guys! I kow it's been AGES since I last posted, but I've decided to give you guys something more...leasant to talk about other than what Mark's writing up. And I mean no disrespect whatsoever, Mark.
Awww, why not? ;) I just love bitching about Mark, though I know I will change nothing, except maybe the tolerance level of those that cares.
: Anyways, I've decided to begin work on a series based on a question that's been on my mind all summer long:
: What if the Prophesied Game Master...was a GIRL?!
Good somewhat original concept....
: That's what my new series' about--a young teenage gal who ended up being chosen as the Game Master--and her title is LADY N! Basically, the gal's Lyra Goldeneye, a 14-year-old gal who just finished up her 1st year in high school--and she gets pulled into VideoLand in place of Kevin!
Goldeneye? Sounds too N64ish. What period of time is the story going to take place, during the NES days or sooner than that?
: The team's gonna be a bit bigger, but two characters are actually REASONABLE add-ons--Link and Samus. I mean, come on! If Mother Brain's gonna be there, it's only sensable that Samus Aran's there as well! And it's also fair for the great hero of Hyrule to join as well--at least, in my opinon.
But, if this takes place back in the NES days and at the same time as the original cartoon took place, Link was over in his own cartoon as hero and protector of Hyrule. You sure he can spare the time? ;)
: And who's the 3rd new member? It ain't Sonic...and it ain't Mario...in fact, it's a character straight from Japan who's not ONLY in a show, but also has her own comics AND video game as well. No, it's not Sailor Moon!
: It's...Lina Inverse!
Okay, well, I have one problem with that. Even though she does star in her own videogames as you point out, she is originally from an Anime, with those games liencsed out. She's not an original video game star and imho doesn't belong on a video game team. Of course, that's just my opinion...
: For those of you who've never heard of her--I suggest you go rent the Slayers Animated Series from the import section of you local video store. Either way, here's the loaddown on her:
: Lina will be 17 when my series started--about the same age she'd be when Slayers end. She's a sorceress with mundo big spells, mainly in the Black Magic department. Most of her spells are common, like Fireball and Ray Wing (aka Levitation), but her trademark spell is the Dragon Slave-the magical equivelant of a nuclear bomb. Thankfully, she only use THAT thing when all else fails--or when she is about to lose ALL of her temper. Personality-wise, she's got a short temper--mainly because everyone keeps teasing about her smaller-than-usual height--and the size of her breasts. She loves to eat whenever she can, and she's a sucker for treasure--well, somewhat. You could easily bribe her with a huge cash reward to get her to do something, but if your a bad guy who intends to use her--watch out! Deep down, though, she can be real sweet and kind--kinda like a big sis, in a way.
: Basically, the reason why Lina is on the team is because she's the ambassador for AnimeLand--a group of worlds based on Japanese animated shows--aka 'anime'. See, VideoLand and AnimeLand had been allies for nearly 20 years when the series start, thanks to King Charles' excellent diplomancy. When the good King was banished, AnimeLand sent someone to help his child fight Mother Brain--under the official title of 'Ambassador'. To be honest, Lina is the LASt person most people expected to be truly diplomatic--she tends to be VERY mean at times.
Oh wait, ignore what I said just a moment ago, should have read this and didn't. however, I still think that she doesn't belong as a member of the N-Team, but maybe just an ally or something. the Animeland idea is actually a good one and would love to see it worked out properly.
: But the biggst surprise is when Lyra shows up--the Prophesy had used 'HE', so they were kinda expecting a guy. But Lyra prooved that just because she's a GIRL, doesn't mean she could kick arse!
: Well, what do ya think?
Well, the girl idea is a good one, but one of the things that made Kevin work really well was that he had stuff like Lana as a possible girlfriend and a conflict with Simon since both liked Lana. I see many possible ways to work this, and I kinda hope someone can write a proper fanfic like this. I look forward to it ;)
