I sit here typing with a toothache at 6 in the morning (the toothache has kept me up all night! ARGH :( and I've come up with a reason to bitch! Yes!
From Mark Moore's new fanfic 'series' called "The N64 Team":
"The N64 Team" is a spin-off series of "Captain N: The Game Master". It is the year 2000. The N Team has been disbanded for almost 3 years. But now, a new team is assembled - the N64 Team!
There's Mark Moore, speaking as if he actually owns the rights to the damn show. Mark, if you really do own the rights, tell us, then I then stop bitching about it! Also, really original name of both the series and the team....
"The N64 Team" was created for 2 reasons: 1) to move the story's time period up to the present and 2) to get me out of writing and editing a lot of stories.
Oh, God forbid, we wouldn't want you to work!
This series has a very different feel to it than Captain N had. It's about heavily-armed thriller-seekers who expect rewards for their deeds. They don't always behave ethically or morally. Yet they are heroes, and these are the stories of their exploits.
This series is nothing more than a "group" of five females who are more or less been thrown together by you, Mark Moore, to satisfy your cravings. It's doubtful that you'll ever get any real "drama" outta this dang thing as your writing sucks to begin with and with the curve you've taken to adding tasteless and pointless pornographic scenes to your stories, you will not improve either.
Alright, now, Mark said here that he didn't want to say who the characters are, but he revealed them on the page. "Duh..." Anyways, he did say one was returning, and from the page, we see it's Samus Aran. I was wrong, I guessed Lana. Anyway, the "new" five characters are... ALL WOMEN. Lora Croft, Joanna Dark, and Jill Valentine, to name a couple. Mark said that these are the "new hot characters" on the scene. Well, let's see.... Joanna Dark, maybe, as she's new on the scene, isn't she? On the other hand, Lora Croft is being put on pause for quite a while since everyone's getting damn tired of her (how many games are out in the Tomb Raider series? Thirty or so?). Jill Valentine is kinda popular through the recent appearance in Marvel Vs Capcom 2, but wasn't never all that popular to begin with in just the RE games.
Bah, Mark, you are just pure evil, aren't you? From the Episode Writing Rules page:
Here are the rules that the writers of the episodes have to follow. These rules do not apply to me.
Mark continues to exempt himself.... it's not like he would actually use that to be truely creative in his writing though...
5) No time-traveling. I want to avoid time paradoxes.
Of course not, don't want to anything that could make you THINK, would we?
7) You write the episode, and you get credit for it. But once I get your episode, I can make any alterations I choose without notifying you. You are giving me this permission when you send me the episode.
The best reason NOT to write for you. Now, an editor has to make changes to a book s/he's editing. There is no perfect writer (though Terry Goodkind comes close ;), and an editor has to check the manuscript for possible bad grammar and spelling mistakes, even if they are accidents. But the types of changes that ARE made by Mark Moore are not what real editors do. By changing what a character says originally and simular stuff like that, completely changes it from what the author had in mind, even if it's better or not. Why should you have someone write out a story for you even Mark? You say they would receive credit, but credit for a story that they didn't send to you...
Anyway, I'm gonna stop here. Just a couple more hours now and I go to the dentist. Anyway, comments anybody?
