: There's no one absolute answer, as there are different theories about how the Links and Zeldas differ. One of the most common theories says that there are three Links; one in Zelda 5, one in Zelda 3 and Zelda 4, and another in Zelda 1 & Zelda 2. That theory also says that there are three Princess Zeldas, split up in the same way. A variation of the theory says that there's actually a fourth Zelda, who is in Zelda 2.
: Another populat theory says that the Link of Zelda 1, 2, 3, and 4 is the same person, and that Zelda 3 takes place after Zelda 2. That's a contradiction to Nintendo's published material that says Zelda 3 happens before Zelda 1, however, so I don't believe it.
If that's refering to me, that' snot what I said. I said that the order is 5(Harkin's Hero of Time) 3,(Link beats Ganon, get Triforce, become the Guardian), 4,(Link goes to Koholint and awakens Wind Fish) 1,(Ganon returns, kidnapps Zelda and steal Triforce/Virtue of POwer, Triforce/Virtue of Wisdom in underworld, Link gets them back, Link blasts Ganon butt into the neatherealm) and 2,(Great Shadow arrives, places Zelda under sleeping spell, and Link finds Triforce/Virtue of Courage, kicks Shadow's ass, and his true love awakens the power of the Triforce/Virtues, breaking the spell)
