From the beginning there was only one of both, BUT, when the game series was on the rise Nintendo/someone else made up something that Link and Zelda in the diffrent games was not the same, as I thought. No, there's one Link according to Nintendo of Japan and Miyamoto.
The comics are in a Alternate Zelda universe, they don't follow tha games exactly, and the writer messed up on the prophecy. The Prophecy was teh inscription on the Master Sword's monument.
THere are at least Two ZELDAs.
