: : : I have a theory, which based on Hyrule's storyline seems like the most likely. Link and Zelda are constantly being reincarnated. If you've read the Nintendo Power Zelda Comic strip from a few years back and played Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past, there's mention of a Prophecy that speaks of the Legendary Hero of Hyrule who is reincarnated every time the King of Evil (Eh, that would be Gannon, as if you couldn't figure that out.) returns to wreak his revenge. It all began with Ocarina of Time. (I think there is a missing chapter between Ocarina of Time and A Link to the Past. I speculate it will be the next Zelda game, probably entitled Legend of Zelda: The Great Cataclysm. Why do I suspect this? Gannondorf had the Triforce of Power when he was banished to the Evil Realm in Ocarina of Time but he had ALL THREE in A Link to the Past! How did that happen?) Every Zelda Game goes backwards in time. It goes like this: The first Link was in Ocarina of Time, another but not necessarily the second Link in A Link to the Past, The Link of "Kevin's Time" in the Legend of Zelda, The Legend of Zelda II: Adventure of Link, and finally Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening (Which I consider more of a spinoff because...take a while guess who's NOT in it.)

: : That's the Game Doctor's research report in a nutshell. Let me know what you think. And speaking of Zelda, I'm needed in the Hylian Ward to perform a Peahat-ectomy. Now where's that Master Sword...

: In Link's awakening, they are not even in Hyrule , so unless Ganon (notice this, the correct spelling. Ganon is not like cannon, eventhough canon is a musical term) had followed him to the island, it would be an entirely different form of evil.

I'm just correcting some things. My own two bits is it doesn't really matter... but since I've already said WHY it doesn't matter in another message, I'll skip it and just go to correcting information.

First- the Doctor did not misspell Ganon's name. In both the manual booklet, AND in the game itself- his name is spelled Gannon. It's true that in the game, it's only in the introduction (Many years ago, the prince of darkness, Gannon, stole one of the triforces with power...) In all other games, it's spelled Ganon though...

Second- the Link in Zelda64 is quite possibly not the first Link, because of the simple fact that a previous war was mentioned in the game. And -heck- we don't even know why the Master Sword was originally forged in the first place... That's of course ignoring that Zelda3 said it was forged after Ganon got the Triforce (which we know is false from Zelda64). Since a war was mentioned in Zelda3, and we PLAY that war in Zelda64, it only goes that the war mentioned in Zelda64 will probably be the basis of a future game- thus giving us an earlier Link.

Also- about Link's Awakening. Though Zelda is not actually IN the game, Link does mistake Marin for Zelda when he first wakes up. And I've heard rumors that there will be a second GameBoy Zelda game where Link goes back to Koholint. I normally don't listen to rumors, but if this one turns out, it would be interesting to see how Nintendo explains Link going back since the island did kinda go POOF!

I however would like to see a real Link/Mario crossover... especially since we were treated to so many Mario enemies in Link's Awakening. I heard that Link and Samus Aran are in Super Mario RPG (which I have not played), is this true?
