Here you'll find a list, by area, of groups, societies and clubs that dedicate themselves to the research of ghosts and paranormal phenomena.  The descriptions in quotes are taken directly from their sites.  Please note that this listing in for the convenience of my visitors.  It is NOT an endorsement of any of the groups, so if you have a bad experience with any of them, it is not my fault.
You can e-mail me to let me know of your problem, and I'll consider removing the group from my list, but I had nothing to do with ruining your life or anything.  Many of these societies are local chapters of IGHS (International Ghost Hunters' Society).

Rocky Mountain Paranormal Research Society - "The Rocky Mountain Paranormal Research Society was formed in 1999, to study and help people in the Rocky Mountain region, with paranormal phenomena. Our mission is to document and study any and all paranormal events."
Southern New England Ghost Hunters Society - Based in Connecticut and conducting investigations in the New England Area
Connecticut Paranormal Research Society - "The Connecticut Paranormal Research Society is a non-profit organization which is devoted to helping people with paranormal disturbances."
Shadows of Chicago Ghost Research - "Our Goal is to prove that not only is there something out there that is  beyond our understanding, but find the cause of the disturbances whether it paranormal or natural." 
Ghost Research Society -  Based in Oak Lawn, Illinois, but anyone can become a member, with different types of memberships offered.
The New Hampshire Ghost Hunters Society - "The Society is dedicated and committed to education, and to the research, documentation and investigation of ghostly phenomenon recorded through digital, audio, film and video photography."
New Orleans Paranormal and Occult Research Society - "Kalila Katherina Smith is the founder of the New Orleans Paranormal & Occult Society. She is the author of  Journey Into Darkness.... Ghosts & Vampires of New Orleans. She was born and raised in New Orleans. A psychic empath, she began having experiences with the supernatural at age 3."
The Paranormal Research Society of Texas - "The Paranormal Research of Texas Society (PRTS) is member of the IGHS and is located in San Antonio, Texas."
