Dear Rook Tournament
players,
I cordially
invite you to take part in the eighth annual Rook Tournament. Once again
you can expect an exciting Tournament. The main topic here at World
Headquarters is to decide whether or not to retire the trophy after
this Beach House and use it for the Children’s Tournament.
The other
topic of discussion we need to share with you will end months of speculation
and rumors. We will be offering for the first time a commemorative Rook®
Tournament T-shirt for everyone to enjoy. They will be available for
anyone attending the Beach House and an order form is enclosed. Please
note the deadline to order.
The Beach
House is scheduled from Saturday, June 29th to Saturday July 13th. The
following tentative schedule should help you plan ahead so you can concentrate
on other important matters such as swimming, visiting, and eating.

Dear Joyce,
I am extremely sorry
that you did not get the annual letter and heard about the commemorative
T-shirt from second hand information. That is completely inexcusable
and will not happen again. I do not know how a player of your caliber
was missed in the process. That is like not inviting Michael Jordan
to play in the NBA All Star game.
I have your order
of two shirts on file. I will be checking on a XXL shirt when I turn
in the order early next week. Also for your information your Rook partner
(Marcella) has ordered her shirt for the Tournament.
I wish you continued
success in this year’s Tournament. You and Marcella still have
what it takes to win it all but these younger groups coming up are playing
better and better at earlier ages.
