Who is the Alaskan Malamute Sanctuary?
The Alaskan Malamute Sanctuary is made up of people who have devoted a good percentage of their lives to the Malamute:
Virginia A. Devaney, President
Sheila Balch, Vice President
Dorothy Pearson, Secretary
Eddie Price, Treasurer
Martha Gormley, Director
Advisory Board:
Robert Zoller
Lois Olmen
Dorothy Dillingham
Richard Tobey
Sally Stephens
With many years of experience and a deep empathy for Malamutes at all stages of life and in any condition, these people will establish guidelines for the location, management, health and welfare requirements and legal and insurance coverage for the Sanctuary facility. They also will develop the sponsor and outreach programs to educate novice owners and the general public about the breed, and will guide the fundraising efforts in order to achieve the Sanctuary's ambitious goals.
