| This album contains video taken in the month of June. The migrants
have left but their absence is more than made up by the resident species
many of which have started or completed their breeding seasons. However,
the rainy season meant that many a time, I can only wish for better weather
instead of just taking shelter inside my car somewhere in the forest!
Nonetheless, I have the following videos to show. Most were taken
with the TRV900 using the video mode except for one pic of the Mountain
Imperial Pigeon which was taken using the photo mode. Its a pity that I
could not properly focus on the Orange-bellied Leafbird and the Little
Cuckoo Dove. These are the species I badly wanted to video but they were
just moving around too much. Among all species videoed in this album, I
am most happy with the Greater Yellownape.
I am not sure about the ID of the babbler in the last two pictures.
It was videoed at the Telecom loop in Fraser Hill near the Telekom apartments.
It was hopping near ground level and lighting was very poor. My best guess
is a Striped Wren Babbler. If you have any comments about its ID, please
let me know. |
