The NutBox

Oh what great fun! The ferrets absolutely love playing in the "NutBox". They jump, dive, dig, wrestle, and pounce on one another.

The NutBox is a container filled about halfway with biodegradable cornstarch peanuts and/or noodles. The nuts and noodles are safe if the ferrets happen to eat one. I've personally tried a noodle on a dare. It was nasty. I don't know why the ferrets like to eat them?

Snorkling

The ferrets love to "snorkle" for any fun things one might put in a pan of water. We fill a plastic pan that's a bit smaller than a dishpan about halfway with water. We then toss in plastic bottle caps because they come in various sizes. They also float for the not so adventurous. For the more daring, we use sea shells, which sink. I've read that some folks put ice cubes in their ferrets' snorkle pans. The ferrets have so much fun snorkling for treasure and scurrying it off to their hidey holes that it's well worth the mess they make getting water everywhere.

The Couch

Ferrets just naturally seem to have a thing for couches, so I bought mine a doll couch that looks like a minature human couch, complete with upholstery. They love to lay on it, climb on it, get under it, get under the cushions, pull the cushions off of it, wrestle with the cushions, turn the couch over, and lift it up and let it fall so it makes a loud thud. Sometimes I think they're coming thru the ceiling in the living room with all the commotion they make with the couch upstairs.
