Jules
Asner is a former Elite model who hosted the E! television show Wild
On... series, as well as Revealed with Jules Asner, E! News Live, E!
News Daily and E! News Weekend. Jules also has hosted and cohosted several
specials on E! . She has also been a TV and magazine entertainment reporter
before joining E! .
Jules
grew up in Tempe, Arizona. She has been 5ft 10 since she was 11 years old.
Discovered at a modeling convention in Scottsdale, Arizona at age 16, Jules
chose to go with Elite Modeling Agency. She left home a week later, and
was off to modeling jobs in Europe and Asia.
After
spending time modeling Jules wanted to try something different. She moved
to Los Angeles and went back to school, getting a degree in political science
from UCLA. After a short time as a reporter for a TV news show and a contributing
reporter for several other TV shows, Jules joined E! Entertainment Television,
as an entertainment news reporter and interviewer. Jules soon replaced
Eleanor Mondale as host of the Wild On ...shows (Wild On.... originally
started out as the show Sex on the Riviera) . Jules has visited 25 different
countries in the year and a half of doing Wild On...shows. Jules explains
"Just kind of on short notice they needed someone to go on a trip, and
I always say 'I had a passport, I had a bikini...' and I think that's why
they asked me if I'd go and do it. And I had no idea it would lead to everything
that happened." One Wild On.. show that is memorable to Jules is Wild On
Key West. That
show featured Jules para-sailing, and swearing quite a lot at her producers,
who wouldn't bring her down. "People go 'Like that was so funny!' and I
go 'I was really mad' , I still talk about that, I'm still, you know, mad
about that." Jules says that doing the Wild On shows was the best
thing that she has ever done career wise or in her personal life. "E! pretty
much paid me to have a good time for two years.....Pretty good job" Jules
loved doing the Wild On... shows, but it was a grueling schedule to do
all those shows, and Jules missed being home as well as working in the
news department. What she missed most was doing the celebrity interviews.
When the opportunity came up for E! News Daily, Jules happily accepted. Jules
did reporting for E!, hosting movie premieres, covering film festivals,
and doing celebrity press junket interviews. Most recently she hosted of
her own show, Revealed with Jules Asner, as well as the former co-host
of E! News Live. Jules moved to New York City, to work on her show Revealed,
as well as to be closer to a certain person in her life in 2002. Jules
has had cameos in 2 movies "Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back" and "Best actress"
TV movie. She appeared as herself in both movies. In 2003 she appeared
with Jason Alexander in a KFC fast food commercial, again her role was
as Jules Asner. Her favorite food is pizza, and her favorite place to get
pizza in Los Angeles is at a place own by actress Cathy Moriarty. Her favorite
pizza toppings: garlic and onions. Jules claims she's never met a pizza
she didn't like.
