Synopsis:
As a result of his actions last issue, Jake Olsen is suspended until further notice. Thor appears before the Council Elite which is reserved for the head of each religious pantheon. Before he's allowed to take Odin's place, Thor must undergo the Koronkakkta to prove his worthiness. Unfortunately, Thor fails the third and final test which was to allow those who worshipped him to become to dependent. He returns to Asgard and is confronted by Jake Olsen who claims to represent the human side of Thor. Thor dismisses him and Tarene returns Jake to Earth.

  • Nice debut by the Lai brothers.

Synopsis:
A reporter sneaks here way into an Asgardian city center and gets a real feels for what it's like to be an Asgardian. She makes her way to Thor palace and can't resist a drink from an elixir of wisdom which ends up killing her. Meanwhile on Earth, a group of teacher, recently converted to Asgardianism refuse to work on Thursdays, which they claim to be Thor's day. A talk show host, filling in for Chucky Diamond, ridicules Thor and his methods, and is later shot dead by one of Thor's followers.

Synopsis:
A lobster fisherman caught in tough financial straights due to a lobster shortage struggles to make ends meet for his family. Defeated, Lars decides that the only way he can provide for his family is to set out to sea during a severe storm and drown so that his family can collect his life insurance policy. Fortunately, before Lars does anything foolish, he's rescued by Thor who also uses the storm's might to replenish their lobster stocks. Confronted with what he witnessed, Lars struggles with his faith and looks to turn to Asgardianism like many of his fellow townspeople.

  • Paco Medina, of DC's recently canceled Suicide Squad, provides some great art.

Synopsis:
Thor meets with a representative of the Catholic Church and they chat about Thor's divinity and the false hope that the Church claims he creates. The Pope calls on all Catholics to reject Thor. In a small Maine town blessed by an intervention by Thor, stands divided by their newfound beliefs in Thor. Loki is more than happy to help by escalating tensions and violence against Thorists erupts around the world.

Synopsis:
Thor and Sif pay a visit to the small Maine town where the violence has erupted. Thor puts and end to the violence and restores both churches that were destroyed in fires. He is then asked to restore one of his faithful to life after perishing in the fire. Thor manages to bring her body back to life, but fails to restore the young girl's soul. Meanwhile, a mysterious shadow cabinet decides that now is the time to move against Thor.

Synopsis:
Worldwide clashes between Thorists and non-Thorists continue. Thor meets with the representative of the Catholic Church again, but this time on a deserted island in the Atlantic. The representative begs Thor to leave, but Thor refuses. The representative then detonates a nuclear bomb which obliterates the island and everything on it. Meanwhile, thousands of troops, coordinated by the shadow cabinet, storm into Asgard. However, Thor survived the nuclear blast and is rather pissed off.

Synopsis:
The War between Earth and Asgard continues. Thor, having survived the assassination attempt finds those responsible and apparently kills them all. Explosion rock Asgard and send it crashing down into New York City. Jake Olsen confronts Thor and does his best to get Thor to stop. Thor knocks him aside, but he's unable to pick up Mjolnir. Thor continues to unleash his power.

Synopsis:
Seventeen years after Asgard crashed into New York City, the world is a very different place. Jane Foster helps the Scarlet Witch and Quicksilver elude the Asgardian authorities and get their child to safety. However, Jane is caught and brought before Thor. She confronts her former lover about how he has used his powers to reshape North America in an Asgardian image. She refuses to tell him where the child of the Scarlet Witch and Quicksilver is. Thor turns her over to Loki and the Enchantress so that she can be "processed".

Jay's Notes:

  • Loki stands as Thor advisor and wears Dr. Strange's cloak of levitation and the amulet of Agamotto.
  • The Enchantress is apparently Thor's wife and has given him a son, Magni.

Synopsis:
In New Asgard, a young thief, Jordahl, is pursued by the Asguards. Thialfi, sent from the present into the future by Zarkko, comes to her rescue and learns about life under the iron rule of Thor. They continue to evade the Asguards and make their way to Jordahl's home. Unfortunately, Loki catches up with them and transports them to his lair.  A one-eyed and one-armed Thor, looking a lot like his father Odin, arrives.

Jay's Notes:

  • Loki now has access to Cerebro.

Synopsis:
Lord Thor is pleased to see Thialfi again and takes him on a world tour to show him all the wonderful progress he's helped humankind make. Jordahl meets up with Thor's son, Magni, and he helps her elude Loki. Meanwhile, the daughter of the Scarlet Witch plots the overthrow of Thor and his rule.
