He married (2) Hixie Brown 11 Jan 1810, daughter of Archibald Brown and Tabitha Twisdale. He married (3) Rebecca Givens 12 Mar 1830.

The Wills of Pleasants Baskett and his third wife Rebecca Givens printed below prove the children of Pleasant. It can be reasoned that all of Pleasant Baskett's children were by Hixie Brown and Nancy Bowdon.

Rebecca Givens was the wife of Pleasant Baskett at the time of his death. All of Pleasants daughters were married within ten years after he married Rebecca which suggest she was not the mother of any of his daughters.

Also, note that Rebecca Baskett referenced Pleasant Baskett's children as "daughters in law" and "sons in law." It can be reasoned this was in error and she meant to say "step daughter" and "step sons."
