The highway begins in Keith at Dukes Highway (A8), running through the towns of Naracoorte, Penola, Nangwarry and Mount Gambier as A66, then continuing as B66 to its termination at Port Macdonnell on the Southern Ocean.
Length: A66 runs for 211km, and B66 is just 28 km in length.
Condition: A66 is a two lane road with fairly narrow shoulders, but in good condition. Through Nangwarry and Mount Gambier the road is a four lane divided highway. It has a speed limit of 110 km/hr in the rural areas.
