Stawell
Stawell is an historic former goldmining town with a population of around 6,700. It is located on Western Highway (A8), 235km north-west of Melbourne between Ararat and Horsham. The town hosts the Stawell Easter Gift, Australia's oldest foot-race which started in 1878 to entertain miners.
