Prahran

Prahran is an older suburb located 5km south-east of Melbourne CBD. Many of the homes were built to house immigrants during the gold-rush. There are also many grand old homes lining tree-lined streets. Chapel Street, the main shopping strip, has long been a popular spot for fashion, nightlife and shopping. There are many bars and nightspots along the street, which is congested during the day and on Friday and Saturday nights.
