Mansfield

The sub-alpine town of Mansfield is located on Midland Highway, 185km north-east of Melbourne. Surrounded by the Great Dividing Range, the town is famous for its association with bushranger Ned Kelly's gang. The population is around 2,500. The town is also a resort town as it is located near the ski resorts of Mt Buller and Mt Stirling. The towns two main streets have wide treelined medians and historic buildings.
