Leongatha

Leongatha is a large town of around 5,000 located amongst green rolling hills, 133km south-east of Melbourne at the junction of South Gippsland Highway (A440) abd Bass and Strzlecki Highways (B460). It is the largest town in the South Gippsland region. The Murray-Goulburn Dairy in Leongatha is the largest cooperative in the southern hemisphere. The town hosts a Food and Wine Festival every January. The town centre is quite large, spread along two main streets.
