Foster

Foster is a dairy and grazing town located on South Gippsland Highway, 169km south-east of Melbourne. In the late 1860's gold was found in the town and when that dried up reef mining took place until the 1930's. The town is located close to the Gippsland coastline, and the road south goes to Wilsons Promontory.
