Echuca
Echuca is an historic port town of around 11,000, located 205km north of Melbourne at junction of Murray Valley and Northern Highways at the New South Wales/Victoria border. The Murray River town has an important past, as it was once the most important inland river port in Victoria. Tourism is the towns main industry, and the historic port with paddlesteamers and the historic streetscapes make Echuca a very charming town. Across the border is Moama, a popular golfing resort and summer location of around 3,500.
