the primary concerns in a republic and in a market ecoomy are choices and
roles.
A mathematics dealing with choicesand roles, namely, Combinatorics (a.k.a.
Combinatorial Algebra), has existed since the middle of the 18th century -- initiated by
the great Swiss mathematician, Leonhard Euler (x-y) -- but is not taught in our schools!
The math of this is simple simple arithmetic, and I have a online combinatorial
mathtivity, Building a Googol World in a Shoe-Box, for teaching this to primary school
children, and I have successfully demonstrated this interactively with children of the Third
Grade and older.
So there is no excuse for our Educational Institution not providing this powerful strategy
for being an effective citizen and consumer!
