The Who embarked on their huge tour of Britain
and Europe, making tireless rounds of the counties TV studios to record
for their own versions of Top of The Pops. During this period they upped
their 'Auto Destruction' stage act.
The album they released was called A
Quick One. This contained on side two a 'mini opera' intended as an
album filler which had echoes of the project that Townshend was to make
his fortune with years later.....Tommy.
