| 20 years into the future, Department H was revived, this time under the guidance of Heather and Eugene Judd, who had been encouraged out of retirement by the Canadian Department of Defence. Canada was in need of heroes to see it through the new century, and the Judds - with their extensive history with previous incarnations of the department and their experience as super-heroes - seemed the perfect candidates to spearhead a new super-human program. Slowly, gradually, a group of heroes were gathered through fate or happenstance, and trained by veteran Alphas Puck, Flex and Province (the hero once known as Radius) to become Canada's champions. The group itself is composed of two teams: an Alpha team of field agents, and a Beta team of reserve members and trainees. |

GV2 (short for Guardian Version 2) co-leads the Alpha team. He is Ramsay Judd, firstborn of Puck and Heather (known as Director H), and inheritor of the electro-magnetic battlesuit technology created by his mother's late husband and the first Guardian: James Hudson, who vanished years before Ramsay was born. GV2 is new to the hero game, but his courage, tenacity and good old-fashioned outlook on life serves him well as Canada's newest Guardian. | Other Aliases:

Wildheart, the daughter of Val Cooper and Kyle Gibney (Wild Child) is co-leader of the Alpha team. Where Ramsay is brash, she is cool-headed. Box, the armoured crusader, is manned by Jeffery Jeremy Jaxon (JJJ to his friends), the grandson of Alpha's archfoe, Jerome Jaxon. Able to phase into the living-metal of the Box Robot, JJJ fights alongside the children of his grandfather's enemies as the redoubtable Box. Berndette Tessier has had a long history with Department H. She began as a member of H's Epsilon Flight but, given her ability to transmute into light and heat, came to join H's super-human program as Solstice. Kodiak, the team powerhouse, is a giant of a man - measuring more than seven feet tall and weighing in the vicinity of 570 pounds. Transformed into this juggenaut when his cosmic ray irradiated genes activated in late adolescene, Abe Reilly joined the super-human program to learn to deal with his size, strength and durability. | Other Aliases:

Whitehawk - the son of Snowbird and Doug Thompson - returned to Earth when the Great Beasts threatened the return due to the psionic backlash unleashed by the mutant X-Man. X-Men defeated the Beasts and Whitehawk - named Richard Peregrine Thompson - remained with H to fulfil his role in the legacy of Alpha Flight. At present, he leads the Beta team of 2nd Flight. Barnacle is 2nd Flight's youngest member. Barely 13 years old, Rene Comeaux is a little boy trapped in the rock-hard body of a super-strong monster! A tragic case - his mutant power manifested while on a family holiday in Montreal - he has struggled with lost childhood and growing power. Bellfrey rounds up the roster. A cipher as much as anything, the man-bat remembers little of his past, save his name - David Guelph.
