Mrs. Mildred G. Morrison, 74, died Saturday at University of Kansas Medical Center, Kansas City, Kansas. She was born June 8, 1904, at Odessa, Missouri, daughter of Benjamin Franklin and Mima Jordan Davis. She lived in this area all her life. She graduated from Odessa High School in 1922, and on October 1, 1922, she was married to Cameron C. Morrison. Mrs. Morrison was a member of Odessa First Christian Church and past grandchief of Pythian Sisters of Missouri. Surviving are her husband Cameron C. Morrison of the home; two sons, Franklin E. Morrison, Odessa, and Ronald D. Morrison, Virginia Beach, Virginia, and three daughters; Mrs. Carmen G. Crews and Mrs. Sarah Lee Crabtree, Odessa, and Mrs. Mariena Bumgarner, Jefferson City; 17 grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. Funeral services were Monday afternoon at First Christian Church, the Rev. Joseph Todd officiating. Burial was in Odessa Cemetery. Pallbearers were grandsons, Cam Morrison, Carl and Arthur Crabtree, Allen Bumgarner, Doug Crews and Bill Murray.

Mrs. Mildred Gertrude Morrison, age 74, was born on June 8, 1904, northwest of Odessa, and passed away February 17, 1979, after a lengthy illness. She was the daughter of Benjamin Franklin Davis and Sarah Martha Jemima Jordan Davis. A lifelong resident of the Odessa area, she attended Hughes Country School and was a 1922 graduate of Odessa High School. On October 1, 1922, she and Cameron Coffman Morrison were united in marriage at Odessa. Five children were born to this union. She is survived by her husband, Cameron, of the home in Odessa; two sons, Franklin Eugene Morrison of Odessa and Ronald David Morrison of Virginia Beach, Virginia; three daughters, Carmen Gertrude Crews, and Sarah Lee Crabtree, both of Odessa, and Mariena Bumgarner of Jefferson City; two brothers Noble Davis and Chester Davis, both of Odessa; 17 grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. Mrs. Morrison was active in numerous civic organizations during her lifetime. She was a state leader of the Pythian Sisters, served as president of the Odessa P.T.A., was a former member of the Star Club and the Happy Hour Club, and did volunteer work with the American Red Cross. She was a member of the First Christian Church of Odessa. She had taught Sunday School from the time she was 18 years old. Mrs. Morrison devoted her life to servicing God and His Church.
