This is basically a story of good various evil.
In this story good is represented by a Catholic priest who carries (and
is not afraid to use) two pistols. Evil is a demon (the Shadowbuilder)
who was summoned by an evil Archbishop. The Archbishop and his followers
are quickly killed in the first few minutes of the movie, but the priest
must still track down the demon. The priest really does not believe the
demon exists, but can not take the chance that he does, or that there are
more followers of the Archbishop who plan to complete what the Archbishop
started. The trail leads to a small town and a twelve year old boy who
is believed to have been born free of "original sin". As the demon battles
to capture the boy and sacrifice him, his evil influence causes the normally
peaceful citizens of the town to turn violent. If successful the demon
will undo creation and open a doorway to hell.

There is some nudity in the first few minutes
of the movie as the priest walks through a group of nude bodies which have
evidently been used in some sort of ceremonial sacrifice.
