April MBUK Overview
Well we all read Mintsauce first. This month I was a bit dissapointed. He's pole dancing, very arty but not inspiring at all. Onto the mag then and MBUK have gone a step further than their recent tidier and cleaner covers (as with the new MBUK site) and done new titles for the main pages such as hip-hop, dirt and now sport. The text has been put into tidier more spaced apart boxes with greater use of white in the background. The photos appear a lot more precise than usual, at good angles with good action. Perhaps trying to compete with Dirt's level of prowess in photography. The text seems very imformative and the information appears clearer and more consice than usual (possibly the new layout making me think this). Lots of reviews, some good articles and interviews. Many reviews including forks and hubs. Seems like more adverts than usual, maybe just less content.
Things to look out for:
A nasty broken finger on page 175.
An undeserved win of a pair of globe shoes for an awful 'blunt' anyone could do - page 177.
A good and bad poster depending on your preference. Page 114-115.
A letter about the cool crash from the red bull event last month. I want to know why is the cameraman pointing the wrong way. Page 34.
An amazing bridge trail on pages120-121
A rather large failed side dropoff - page 171.
