[NI4524] Andrew was a tanner. His name first appears on census records in Londonderry Twp, Bedford Co, PA in 1800. He moved to Coshocton, Ohio in the spring of 1808, and soon took up farmland in Tuscarawas Twp. Andrew was a member of "Johnson's Riflemen" during the War of 1812. By 1820 Andrew was working as a tanner in Clinton Twp, Knox Co, Ohio. In 1828 Andrew moved to Danville, Knox Co, OH, where he established a tannery. He and his wife were members of the Presbyterian Church. Andrew's will was dated 18 Mar 1854, proved 7 Feb 1855. Son, Edwin, executor.
[NI10938] Naomi was a daughter of James Thompson, who served in the Revolutionary War in Capt. Jonathan Holmes Co, 2nd New Jersey Infantry, Continental Line. After the war, Thompson moved his family to Bedford Co, PA.
[NI10941] James was a tanner and ran a hostelry. Until about 1843 James and his family lived at Blachleyville, Ohio. Then he moved to Danville, Ohio. He and his wife were members of the Methodist Church.

[NI10950] After his father's death, Hiram purchased his tannery at Danville, Ohio, where he continued the business for many years. He was a member of the Methodist Church.
