Although known as the "Quiet Beatle" George Harrison was a major asset to The Beatles. His magnificent Guitar skills are what helped the Beatles gain success.
Weeks after Paul McCartney joined The Beatles, (then the quarry-men) Paul McCartney introduced John Lennon to a friend of his named George Harrison. Impressed with his guitar playing abilities John decided to let George play with the band. At the time George was very young and didn't fit in quite well. In fact, when George was seventeen, the band went to play in Hamburg Germany. Due to his age he was departed immediately. Despite all this he continued to play with the band after they returned to England.
By the time the Beatles reached fame in America, The Beatles were working on their first film "A Hard Day's Night" during this time one of the extras for the film stole his heart. Her name was Patty Boyd. After weeks of trying to get her attention he finally married her, and she became his first wife. But after the Beatles broke up in 1970, the two were having marital troubles. They had a divorce and George married Olivia Arias, who gave birth to George's child Dhani Harrison.
