Test results for the last 13 markers for your profile were uploaded Dec.
30th.
E-mail any time.In on of your marker 464 loci your sample had what is called a micro allele. That means that while the normal repeated sequence is like acgtacgtacgt (that is 3 repeats long--acgt time 3) However in your case instead of 3 repeats your sample had acgtacgtacg , so it was missing the t of the repeated segment. It's not common, but we see it from time to time. In principle we have asked ourselves 'did he gain the acg or did he loose the t'. In this case the lab feels that the likelihood of you have lost the t instead of gaining 3/4 of another repeat (the acg) is very high and we round it to the next higher repeat for scoring and display purposes, in the example I gave we would call that repeat a 3 NOT a 2. This "post Christmas batch" results came to us in the pre-rounded form, so when we uploaded the data the remainder was looped off, and in the example given above the '2' was reported. When I complete this email I was fix the record to reflect the rounded up number rather then the looped off number.
Best Regards,
