Elizabeth Leslie's great-great-great-great-grandfather was William Carstairs,
Principal of the University of Edinburgh and four times Moderator of the
General Assembly of the Church of Scotland, her grandfather James Hunter was
Professor of Logic at the University of St Andrews, and his father John Hunter
was Principal of the University and Professor of Humanities. Her other
great-grandfather Charles Wilson was Professor of Oriental Languages.

Mary Cook's father George Cook was Dean of the Thistle and Professor of Moral
Philosophy at St Andrews, as was his father John Cook, and her
great-great-great-grandfather Alexander Pitcairne was the Principal of St
Andrews.

Katherine Laurie's father Gilbert Laurie was twice Lord Provost of Edinburgh
and her great-grandfather Lord Cardross lived in North Carolina for a time in
the latter half of the seventeenth century but returned to Europe.

Regarding my Coats Viyella address, it is probably better if you continue to
use msn. There was a problem with our cc:Mail system when the directory was
originally set up with my name spelled incorrectly but I have now received
mail so hope it is fixed. Is your preferred address Bigbird or Midnet?

I think you were asking for the postal address for The Clans and Families
Association for South Scotland; it is Mrs M.F.Elliott, Seven Oaks, School
Lane, Moffat, Dumfriesshire, DG10 9AX.

Thanks for McCallum tartan info. I did receive a message from Roderick McClay
but have not yet subscribed.
