The following is from a newspaper article "Carver Family of Green Acres,
Bethel, Carver Communities" By Frances Vickers Wilkes on page 7-B of the
August 3l, 1994 issue of The Douglas Enterprise. It was initially sent in
email to the list by Raymond B. Carver (RCarver@alltel.Net) 3 Aug 1999,
then he snailed me a spliced photocopy of it which I received 9 August
1999.
Another Carver article is "CARVERS COME TO AMERICA ON MAYFLOWER, WELCOME,
SAMSON" by Frances Vickers Wilkes in the August 17, 1994
issue of the Douglas Enterprise. Ray found these clippings in the Carver
file folder in the Genealogy room of the Satilla Regional Library, Douglas
