Subject: Wm. Carver, Richard Braswell
I am looking for ancestors of Richard Braswell and Ann Carver. Ann
Carver's father was John Moore, Isle of Wight, VA. Cannot trace Carvers
or Braswells back any further. I am descended from
this line through William (son of Richard and Ann), Sampson (son of Wm.),
and either William or James (killed War of 1812) (both sons of Sampson).
Mary, dau. of Wm. or James, m. John L. Rousseau in GA. They went to FL
from GA about 1825, settled in what is now Suwannee Co., FL, and many are
still there. Rousseaus moved on to Tampa area, then to Palm Beach Co.
You have several names listed that we have been trying to connect:
Edmonson, Hargraves, Robinson. Do you have any connections to Gays,
Deans, Tillises?
Do you have any idea where Carvers came from before Isle of Wight? I
would love to correspond with you about Carvers, etc., and will share what
I have(probably not as much as you have). I am trying to trace Carvers in
VA, but without much success so far.
