Subject: Carver
Hi Cuz,

We are definitely of the same line! When we tried to get a copy of the William Carver will they could not find it. I tried on your home page but the url does not seem to work.
Helppppp!!!!!

I was so excited this morning to hear from you. I called my cousin, who is a walking encyclopedia on all southern families, to tell her the news. We feel the same about some of Huxford's info.

The Green family is in Columbia Co. Florida along with several of the other families that have been together off and on since they left Va.Our family has been working on all of this for several years, I have only taken an active interest the last few months. Last weekend we attended a Carver Family reunion in Suwannee Co. Fl. We found out a lot of dates and connections we did not have.

Here is what we have found: Ann Carver's father was William Carver m.Jane Moore. We were not sure if she was married to Richard Braswell. If they were puritans she could retain her maiden name.Knew it could be either way. I have that she was born around 1697; her son William b 1729 who m.Mary Wilson; their son Sampson B. Carver b 1755 m Rhoda Edmondson; son William b 1780 m.Clarissa Carver. We think the last William is the father of our missing Miss Carver b abt 1800.She would be my GGGgrandmother. She had a son William Henry Rousseau b.1818. We cannot find her marriage to John Louis(Lewis) Rousseau. They are our missing links.

I have several different versions of all of this, it is so confusing at times. A list of some of the surnames in Columbia Co: Robinson,Hall,Green,Ellis,Davis,HarrisJohns,Moore,Payne,Roberts,Walker, Weeks,Williams,Jones,Barnes,Crews,Barber,Blount,Griffin,Griffis,to name a few.

If we are correct in our Rousseau line, we have a lot more Braswells on that side.

We think that William Carver who m Jane Moore is the Capt.William Carver who was hung by Berkley for his actions aiding Nathaniel Bacon in attempting to capture Berkley. I will need to get with my cousins to determine what of all this has been documented.

Our other lines are Deen(Dean),Ford,Whelchel,Copeland and Hinson(Hensen).

I must go to work,so I can support this hobby.
