Cairo grabs you by the ear and drags you over to a seat in the skyboxes. "You're not on the Arena floor anymore, so don't try posting here. I am about to inform you of some rules that you need to know. You should do your best to follow them, because Jekkal is going to assume as of January 20, 2001 that if you post in the arena, you know these rules."
"Who's going to make me follow them?" You ask her, a slight snarl on your face.
Cairo gets out her wand and glares at you, causing you to squirm in your seat. "I am going to make sure you follow them, that's who! I have the power to make administrative posts, remove messages, and even have your arse banned from the arena if I have to! Jekkal is trying to avoid having to make a Dragon Arena III, and I am fully behind her in enforcing the rules.
Newbie Tendencies will not be tolerated and must be suppressed. A list of newbie tendencies are listed as follows:
Spyro the Dragon is a great series of games, and that's what the website and message board are based around. However, this board is for Spyro fans, not Spyro worshippers. (And if you fall into the latter category, I strongly suggest you see a psychologist about what you did to that poor sheep!)
Try to remain on good terms with everybody.
Drug References which include abuse of legal drugs and/or use of illegal drugs (And we mean illegal in America, not Amsterdam) are forbidden.
Spamming is Forbidden. This means advertising for miracle drugs, pyramid schemes, and the like. People get enough of it in e-mail, they don't need any more on the board.
Flooding is Forbidden. Do not make several posts in a very short amount of time.
"You will be banned if you make a large percentage of the board angry, spam or flood." Cairo finishes her listing of the rules, and you notice her watching the arena carefully.
The chair feels extremely uncomfortable now. "Then what?"
"Then you're gone. You can't post here anymore. That's it. If you want to get back in, send ONE (and only one) e-mail to Jekkal requesting it, and then I'll talk with the others to see if they'll allow it. You are not allowed to bring in outside reinforcements to convince me that you should be unbanned."
"That's unfair!" You shout, trying to get out of the chair, but Cairo sits you back down.
"That's the rules. You try to get back in unfairly, and you will stand NO CHANCE of coming back. Your name will be abhorred forever. You will become a pariah, an unspeakable—"
"A Jes—MMPH!?" You whimper, and Cairo silences you.
"I SAID anyone who attempts to return unfairly will become an unspeakable, didn't I?" She sighed. "Listen, I . . . er, Jekkal has grown increasingly less tolerant of those who break the rules. The rules are few, but the few we have will be rigidly enforced. Am I clear?"
"Crystal." "Not at all."
