If I Worked for Insomniac...

August 11,

BLEAH!

I went to a jamboree volleyball match with no food, an empty gut, and to top it all off, we got trounced by the other schools.

I'm beginning to think that being a manager sucks.

August 10,

The outage at fanfiction.net is almost gone, but I can't upload.

Great... I finish writing my column, and I can't put the damn thing up.

August 9,

I'm going to be a manager.

Okay, so it involves admitting that I'm not really that great at volleyball, but at least it's worth a letter.

August 8,

There was another hour-and-a-half volleyball practice at the local church.

Why is practice at the church when it's a school sport? The reason is that some special event has taken over almost every gym, field, and bowling alley in the immediate area. I'm not saying what event for privacy purposes, but if you think about it, you'll probably know what I mean.

August 7,

Went to a one and a half-hour practice today. One of the coaches complimented me on my quickness in picking up the game.

August 6,

I went to the doctor today. Everything checked out, except that my blood pressure is slightly above average. Hopefully, exercise should lower that down to something reasonable. Running around school will do the trick. ^ - ^

I went to the three-hour practice today. Got tired. Learned a lot. Had fun.

August 5,

Color me anxious.

I've been trying for the past week to get in condition, lose weight, anything I can possibly do to appear in decent condition for my doctor's appointment.

Don't get me wrong, here — most of the time I don't have a problem with my body being what it is. I eat healthy, I don't have health problems, and I make sure to steer clear of 'pop' magazines that perpetuate skeletons as vixens. I also avoid pop magazines for other reasons, but that's for another entry.

But for some reason, I can't help but be worried about seeing the doctor. The main reason is that I'm very fact-conscious, so the doctor should only be judging me with fact-based opinions based on my blood pressure and such. That makes anything a doctor says very critical to me.

Being a normal weight but only 4'10" doesn't help either.
