Gel-Pen Journals are journals on black backgrounds that use lots of pastels (and often), use plenty of doodles and such, and most importantly, use words.

If I Worked for Insomniac...

June 2,

5:07 PM — I just came back from a pool party, and I just realised something; My free dialup access ran out.

Ever since my Dad got DSL, I've been going 'under the radar' and using our old dialup acess for free. I found out a few months ago that as of June 1, I would only have twenty free hours, and then they would be charging an hourly rate.

Guess I better go use Juno...

June 1,

10: 19 PM — SCHOOOOOL'S OUT FOR SUMMER!

Sorry to those of you still stuck, but at least you don't have to go back in mid-August.

Three (well, two) finals today.

P.E. — Exempted, due to the fact I already have a 100 in the class.

Physical Science — 140-question exam, all multiple choice.

Literature — 175-question exam. Tiring.

I talked with Jamie over the phone a bit.

May 31,

9:22 PM —  I took three of my finals today. They are as follows:

Fitness — A 14-question 'match the word with its definition' sheet. Very simple.

Geography — Also a vocabulary test, but with over 150 questions. Tedious and long.

Geometry — a 80-question smorgasbord. Difficult and long, but I think I aced it.

After school, I talked with Jamie about what instrument a guy has to play in order for us to think he's sexy. Jamie said that anyone playing brass looks nice, while I said the guy would have to play bass.

May 30,

11:08 PM — Today was a little hectic, to say the least. I've got three finals tommorow, I had to get a few teacher's gifts wrapped, and so forth.

On the other hand, I got that exe file replaced that I had invariably deleted from the computer during a virus hoax. I also finished the last piece of tangible homework for this year. Now all I have to do is study...

May 29,

5:15 PM — Snowcone is dead.

Snowcone the crab was about the size of a box turtle and the color of an old copper bracelet. She was introduced into Gay's (that's his name, not his sexual orientation — although it could be) invertebrae tank about six months back, when she was supposed to be eaten for 'crustacian appreciation day', and invariably avoided the pot. She'd been in the same tank since then.

Being a big crab with big claws, I assume she was, in part, responsible for the deaths of one horseshoe crab, three bivalves, a sea urchin, sea star, and sea biscuit. She was definately responsible for the tearing up of two sponge pumps. No idea how many barnacles she may have done in.

Over the school weekend, She had somehow uprooted the third air pump (a plastic plant), clawed up the filter tube, and flipped herself into the filtration system, where she died of starvation, poisoning, or whatever it is that crabs die from other than being dropped into pots of boiling water.

Goodbye, Snowcone. Ye will be missed.

Memorial Day

11:09 PM — Back on Napster again downloading a few more tracks, including the music at the start of the Spyro game and Lady Marmalade.

Y'know, despite the court crap, you can still find most everything on Napster if you know how to look.

May 27,

11:29 PM — Well, here's the rundown of today:

  • Went to baseball game that I got two free tickets to because I had all straight As in my first semester.

  • Said game lasted three hours against a team that was supposedly worse than us, and they won.

  • Had a moth fly into my ear during the seventh inning stretch, and got really overheated from said stretch until game was over.

  • Had a calzone for dinner after getting home to watch WWF Sunday Night Heat.

  • Had sister introduce my computer to Napster, muck up my computer's clock, and make me restart the machine.

  • Am writing this.

Getting Napster was beneficial, however; I found some authentic tracks from the first Spyro the Dragon game, including 'Brave Young Dragon', which is a random kick-in tune for whenever you stay in an area long enough. I think so, anyway; I haven't played in a while.

It also inspired me to do a really cool sketch involving a headshot of Spyro wearing big-ass chunky headphones. I may even have to scan it in tomorrow and post it.
