Welcome to my new section. I am an animal lover, no matter what kind. Well, I guess I do have my favorites and if you can't guess what they are then I'll tell you :) I love cats!

I have two of my own and they are my babies. I have a 9 year old named Alice and a 7 year old named Julie.

Alice I got from my vets adoptions center, and she was very, very sick in the beginning. When I got her she was 4 months old and only weighted 2 pounds. She is now a healthy and beautiful 7-8 pound cat. Well, she still has a breathing problem, but it only consists of a lot of snorting and snoring. My x-husband used to complain that she kept him awake at night because of her snoring. lolol I told him he got his just reward, because he used to keep me awake at night with his snoring. Also Alice's nose run's when it gets humid and I have to run behind her and wipe her nose. lolol She has also learned how to use her snorting. At first it was because she had a hard time breathing, but now anytime she is upset with me she snorts. lolol It's the funnies thing to see and hear. She is a joy to me and keeps me in stitches all the time with her attitude. lololol

I just got Julie just a little over a year ago. She was my Great Aunts, cat. At 99 my Great Aunt had to go into supervised care at the nursing home she was at and she couldn't keep her cat, so my x-husband offered to take Julie. Otherwise they were talking about putting her down. We couldn't let that happen, so now my Great Aunt has turned 102 in February of this year and we have Julie. She is the complete opposite of Alice. She very aloof and offish. But when she wants her lovin, she wants it now. lolol She used to be an indoor cat, but when she moved in with us, and being that Alice went out, we couldn't very well keep her in. You would never have believed that she was an indoor cat. She took to the great outdoors like she was born to it. I call her my Great Gray Huntress. She brings me many wonderful "living" surprises.

So needless to say, I think everyone should have a pet. You learn a lot about unconditional love and patience. It takes a very special person to have an animal for a pet.
