Building Plans:
Imagine beautiful cottage like homes surrounded by trees with sustainable gardens and alternative energy sources. I plan to use a building technique known as "cob construction". The link at the end of this page shows what is possible with this technique. It is truly amazing!
I plan to grow my own vegetables and fruit, perhaps raise some chickens and cows to harvest eggs and milk.
The first phase of construction will include two structures and occur over next summer. The first structure will be completed in three weeks and will serve as a base of operations (and a comfortable place to sleep). This structure will be small and basic, yet comfortable and beautiful (12F x 14F). The second structure will be a house complete with a kitchen, fire/meditation room, sitting room and sleeping quarters (in a loft).
The most beautiful thing about cob construction technique is the flexibility and low cost. You can put in windows as you go, upon seeing a nice view while building. You can create squared or curved walls. The possibilities are endless.
