The intensity of my spiritual journey has risen and increased. Over the past years I have had to really stretch and grow. In reflecting on those things which are really important I have come to realize many things, about what makes me happy, what brings me peace and that which matters to me.
I have come to realize that although I love the cultural and social aspects of the city, that there must be more. I know it is my purpose to live in a way that helps other people, to make a difference, if only in my small corner of the world. I also know our planet is in trouble, and that we need to take some serious steps to heal it. How do I combine this knowledge, and my spirituality into a vision that helps others and hurts none?
It has been my dream for sometime to have a retreat centre where people can focus on using creativity for the purposes of healing. In our lives we suffer so much soul pain. This not a good or bad thing, but we must find a way to release the pain to pursue inner peace. It is my hope that this retreat centre I am planning will be a tool that helps people do this.
I am planning to build an environmentally friendly retreat centre. It is my hope that I might be able to break ground this summer (2001). Using simple yet beautiful construction techniques I endeavour to create a place that lives in harmony with the planet and increases the positive energy in peoples lives.
