The Indo Guyanese live in houses whose windows have iron grilles

Security guard Chetram Etwaroo, 42, was shot in the face while on duty at F&I Jairam and Sons Variety Store, Saffon Street, Charlestown. He died on the spot.

An iron grill is fitted to the windows of many homes to prevent  Afro Guyanese  barbarians from gaining access but they climb onto the roof of the building to get in.
