UNMASKING NASA

ASSORTED NASA PHOTOGRAPHS OF INTEREST

-SECTION TWO-

False Noses at NASA

This is ap14-70-H-1122HR.

(Apollo 14)

One of many training photographs, released to the public.

Something struck me as odd about this photograph - and I began to look more closely - to try and understand what was 'wrong' with the seemingly innocent picture..

Look closely at the man to the right of the astronaut.

One understands that this is a low angle shot, so his hand can appear larger than what it is.

But either he's deformed - or there're too many fingers on his hand..

Count them.

This could be an optical illusion - but then when we go in closer on his face - he begins to look even stranger.

Either his hand is far 'too wide' or else its holding something over his face, and the photo has been retouched to hide the covering.

And note the strange 'drawn on' appearance of his nose, as if its a mask.

If we turn the image to a negative, this strangeness becomes even more obvious.

His arm seems to end in an artists idea of a 'hand over a face' Count the finger joints - and note that something is clearly covering the man's face that can't be just his thumb.

The hand is too wide, even allowing for optical distortion from a low angle photo - also, as you can see the hand appears to end in a 'explosion' of finger joints that are more than five.

If we lighten the section slightly, we can see that firstly: the entire image containing the man, is a uniform texture (both shadow and light area's) - indicating that it's been edited.

Secondly, its even more visible that whatever is over the man's face, the 'hand' is false, as is the nose.

So either the man in the photograph was holding something over his face which has been edited out, or else NASA have deliberately drawn glasses, false nose and a freakishly deformed hand over the man's face, to disguise him.

Note the crudely 'drawn on' appearance of the glasses and nose.

Note four clearly visible finger joints to the left of his 'nose' - which means that entire 'bulk' and 'detail' of the supposed hand - from the centre of his nose, extending to beyond his face at right, is taken up with - a thumb?

And as usual with almost all NASA photographs showing astronauts 'training' - if one looks closely at the supposed surfaces that they're working on - one sees that the photographs have been massively retouched in order to hide the mock-ups of the real textures of the lunar surface.

If we select the section by and below the astronauts feet-

..And then increase the light - we can see the clear line of 'over-exposure' where the photograph has been retouched.

(The lower section is a composite of overlaid and darkened negatives)

Going in close on the lower section, reversing to 'negative' and unmasking - we see the standard tubelike shapes that are clearly visible elsewhere in lunar landscapes - and which seem to make up part of the 'real' lunar surface.
