Unlike the fake 'lunar surface' which NASA have perpetuated for decades, Mars presents an interesting exercise for the NASA technicians who are privy to the reality.

While there's again a 'Martian surface' texture which NASA developed to layer over the real landscape, (covered elsewhere in this site) - they've also had to deal with the painstaking covering up and retouching of the photographs from a number of unmanned landings.

I will present photographic evidence to show sequentially through each of the Mars missions, the extent of the retouching and covering up of detail in the photographic record..
