MORMONISM
Mormons teach that you will be "a God," not, "like God," but literally "God's."
EXAMPLES ARE: "After men have got their exaltations and their crowns - have become Gods," Journal of Discourses, Vol. 6, p. 275. "If we should take a million worlds like this and number their particles, we should find that there are more gods than there are particles of matter in those worlds." ibid. Vol. 2, p. 345. God was "once a man in mortal flesh as we are" and "has once been a finite being," ibid. Vol. 7, p. 333.
Adam "was crowned with glory immortality and eternal lives and was numbered with the Gods for such he became through his faithfulness." L. John Nuttall Journal, Feb. 7, 1887, 1:19 as recorded in Michael/Adam, by Ogden Kraut.
"[Y]ou have got to learn how to be gods yourselves... the same as all gods have done before you," History of the Church, Vol. 6, p. 306. "The mind or the intelligence which man posses is co-equal with God himself," ibid. p. 310. "The first principles of man are self-existent with God." ibid. p. 312.
"[M]an is the tabernacle of God, even temples." Doctrine and Covenants Sec. 93:35.
"[M]an will yet attain unto the power of the godhead," New witness for God, p. 461 [1895 edition].
"[M]an is a god in embryo," Ration Theology, p. 25.
"Man was also in the beginning with God, Intelligence, or the light of truth, was not created or made, neither indeed can be," Doctrine and Covenants, 93:29.

There are many other doctrines not able to be backed Biblically, but this one is the one that most new Mormons will deny or not even know that the L.D.S. Church clearly teaches. The bottom line is that Mormons must reject the Bible as the standard of God's Word, for nowhere are a myriad of their teachings found therein. It's God's Word [Who NEVER CHANGES His mind: Heb. 13:8; Num. 23:19; Psa. 89:34; Mal. 3:6; Heb. 1:11-12; Jam. 1:17] or the changeable man's word, The Book of Mormon.
Mormons should also be aware that they were not the originators of this doctrine. Form the "Catechism of the Catholic Church" gnatius Press p. 116, and "Athanasius De Ine. 54,3: PG. 25, 192B, we read: "For the Son of God became man so that we might become God."
Lest Mormon's tell you they believe in God's Word, [The Bible], here is what they really believe:
"The words contained in this Bible are merely a history of what is gone by; it was never given to guide the servant of God in the course he should pursue. [One might ask: What then was God's guide before Mormonism?] The Bible is not a sufficient guide, it is only the history of the people who lived 1800 years ago." Journal of Discourses, Vol. 2 p. 75.
"There are many plain and precious things taken away from the book [The Bible]. Because of these things which were taken away out of the gospel of the Lamb, an exceeding great many do stumble, yea, insomuch that Satan hath great power over them." Book of Mormon, 1 Nephi 13:28b, 29b.
"Who knows that even one verse of the Bible has escaped pollution so as to convey the same sense that it did in the original?" Divine Authenticity of the Book of Mormon, p. 47.
Finally, only God can die for your sins, for it was His Law that was broken. No man, angel, or any other substitute will do. Herein lies the heart of God's Word: GOD DIED FOR YOUR SINS!!!
