FOR JEWS TO CONSIDER
The purpose of God was for the Jewish nation (or any nation) to be a blessing to all the families of the earth, in pointing them to Jehovah's redemption for ALL. See Gen. 12:3; 18:18; 22:18; 26:4; 28:14; Psa. 72:17; Jer. 4:2. Also consider Gal. 3:8: "And the scripture, foreseeing that God would justify the heathen through faith, preached before the gospel unto Abraham, saying, In Thee shall all nations be blessed." Other texts to consider are: Isa. 45:22; 65:1.
Jews still teach that they should "love thy neighbor, and hate thine enemy." Mat. 5:43. "Eye for eye, tooth for tooth, hand for hand," et cetera. Exo. 21:24-25. However, God teaches a balance in His Word by also teaching us to forgive our enemies: Lev. 19:18; Exo. 23:4; Pro. 25:21-22; 1 Sam. 24:19. And to love strangers: Gen. 19:2; Lev. 19:34; Deu. 10:19; Job 31:32.
There are 109 prophecies about the Messiah. For any person to fulfill even 25% of these would be a near impossibility. Yet Jesus Christ fulfilled every last one of them to the letter. The only way to explain this is to ascribe to Christ, that He was the living Messiah. "And He said unto them, These are the words which I spake unto you, while I was yet with you, that all things must be fulfilled, which were written in the law of Moses, and in the prophets, and in the psalms, concerning Me." Luke 24:44.
