A new curvaceous body accompanied by a 2.6 litre six, this model Mk II shed most of it's similarity to regular Corona models. There is some coincidental similarity to Datsun's C130 Laurel coupe from this angle however, spookily since they appeared around the same time and were aimed at the same segment of the market (in Japan; in Australia we got the C110 Skyline as the 240K instead).

To accommodate the inline six cylinder I think a longer front was used on these models than that for the four cylinder ones available in Japan (this was very common practice at this time; Datsun's Bluebird, Laurel and Skyline did the same).
